A model sentence that "got her goat"

Martha has figured out a strategy for remembering where the reflexive pronoun goes when used with the present perfect tense: She says the phrase me he hecho, making it sound like the beating of a goat. This strategy helps her to remember to put the pronoun me in front of the auxiliary verb hacer. This works for all pronouns in the present perfect tense.

"When I was first learning this, it was really difficult to remember. So … I came up with … something that sounds a little bit like a goat bleating in the mountains: Me he hecho. … It's really easy for me to … sub in the other words … when I'm using a different verb or talking from a different person's point of view."
