Tara Fortune is the Immersion Projects Coordinator for the Center for Advanced Research on Language Acquisition (CARLA) at the University of Minnesota and the founding editor of the ACIE Newsletter. She works in the preparation and continuing education of immersion educators throughout the U.S. and is frequently invited as a lecturer on research-based educational practices for program administrators and parents interested in immersion. | Kimerly Miller has been the editor of the ACIE Newsletter since 1999. She has taught French and ESL in K-12, immersion, and adult education settings in addition to her current interest in gifted education and the provision of gifted services to immersion students. |
Diane Tedick is an associate professor in the Second Languages and Cultures Education Program at the University of Minnesota. As a former bilingual teacher, she has long been interested in the pedagogy required for the successful integration of language and content instruction, and has worked to develop the graduate-level Language Immersion Certificate Program offered to immersion practitioners. Since the newsletter?s inception Diane has served as faculty advisor and as a member of the editorial staff. |
